I created “The Lord Brings Growth” to remind myself that it is the Lord who ultimately brings growth.

We can transfer the soil to our raised beds, we can plant seeds on the ground, we can water, we can shoo away squirrels, we can plant flowers for the pollinators to come, but it is the Lord who sprouts our seedlings and brings forth the fruit.

In Genesis the Lord tells Adam to work and keep the garden. God gave us the honor to be His stewards to tend and protect His creation. Yet it is not us who brings life out of a dried seed. It is the Lord and the Lord alone.
