Dear Christian,

Trust in the Lord.

When I think about trusting in God, my mind goes as far back as Genesis 3 when the serpent challenges Eve to doubt God’s word by saying, “Did God actually say…?” 

We see the same story play out again and again when we believe the lie that God is holding out on us, that He isn’t actually good, and that He doesn’t have our best interests at heart. But we can’t be further from the truth.

We have a God who is faithful and true, always working for our good. “He who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all, how will he not also with him graciously give us all things?” (Romans 8:32)

The Lord is for you. You can trust Him.

“Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, whose trust is the Lord. He is like a tree planted by water, that sends out its roots by the stream, and does not fear when heat comes, for its leaves remain green, and is not anxious in the year of drought, for it does not cease to bear fruit.” (Jeremiah 17:7-8)
