DAY 63: 2 JOHN

“I rejoiced greatly to find some of your children walking in the truth, just as we were commanded by the Father.” (2 John 1:4)

Dear Christian,

Walk in truth and love.

Let us be diligent about the content we take in. What we consume shapes the words we speak and the actions that we take. In order for us to walk in truth and love, we need to know what is true and what is lovely.

God, in His boundless grace, chose to reveal Himself to us through His word that is sweeter than honey and more precious than gold. In it, He shows us the way to true freedom, true joy, and true peace. God is in some ways very simple. He is true to His word. He does not fail. He is able. 

It is sin that complicates, confuses, distorts, and deludes. 

Let us strive to align our lives with God’s wonderful truth and guard our hearts and minds against the influence of false teaching and misleading information. As we are bombarded with various messages throughout our days, let us be diligent in discerning what is true and what is not. Let us allow God’s word to shape our hearts and our minds and allow God’s love to permeate all of our thoughts, words, and actions.
