DAY 55: 2 TIMOTHY

“if we are faithless, he remains faithful—for he cannot deny himself.” (2 Timothy 2:13)

Dear Christian,

Our God is faithful through and through.

I take great comfort in knowing that God, in His very nature, is true to His word. His word never returns to Him void. What He says He will do, He will accomplish. We see this play out in the scriptures. No matter how much man tries to sabotage God’s plan or interferes with it, God’s plan always succeeds. 

Before the world was created He already set His love on us. When man fell in the garden and brought curse into the world, God already had a plan of redemption in place. As we trace the story from Abraham, to Isaac, to Jacob, to Joseph, to Moses, to all the judges and prophets, we see a patient God who is steadfast in His love and His pursuit of man.

Though we may try to run away like Jonah, He comes and rescues us. Though we may try and cover ourselves in darkness, He sees us and still calls us into His light. Our God is unlike man, who we know can sometimes break our hearts and our promises. But our God does not fail. He is faithful until the end.
