DAY 17: ESTHER
“For if you keep silent at this time, relief and deliverance will rise for the Jews from another place, but you and your father's house will perish. And who knows whether you have not come to the kingdom for such a time as this?” (Esther 4:14)
Dear Christian,
There is no such thing as coincidence with the Lord — only divine providence.
There are stories in the Bible where we are left to wonder where God is in the picture. Esther is one of those books where we don’t immediately see God working, only to find that He has been there the whole time.
Esther, a Jewish woman, found herself as the queen of Persia. This unique position was used by God to bring deliverance for God’s people against deadly opposition.
I may not know what situation you are facing or what position you may have. But the Lord knows. And He has you where you are for a reason. I think of the apostle Paul, imprisoned for the sake of the gospel, and yet that did not stop him from sharing the good news with those around him.
Whether you’re a queen, a prisoner, a parent, a co-worker, a student, or a friend — the Lord has you in this specific time and place for a reason. Let us be obedient and faithful to His call.
Love,
Patsy
