DAY 22: ISAIAH
“And one called to another and said: Holy, holy, holy is the LORD of hosts; the whole earth is full of his glory!” (Isaiah 6:3)
Dear Christian,
The Lord is holy.
What does it mean for God to be holy? It means that God is perfect, pure, and without sin.
And when we come across someone who is this perfect, it opens our eyes and makes us more aware of our own sinfulness and standing before the Lord. One might read this and think that God must then be distant, untouchable, and unapproachable. But that’s not the God of the Bible.
God so loved the world that He did the unthinkable. He sent His only Son, Jesus, to take on flesh and live with us. “For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.” (2 Corinthians 5:21)
What separated us from God was sin, but Jesus took all our sins (past, present, and future) so we can live with the Father forever. He loved us to the uttermost.
“For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is his steadfast love toward those who fear him; as far as the east is from the west, so far does he remove our transgressions from us.” (Psalm 103:12)
Love,
Patsy
