DAY 41: MARK
“Jesus looked at them and said, “With man it is impossible, but not with God. For all things are possible with God.” (Mark 10:27)
Dear Christian,
God is able.
He is able to soften hard hearts. He is able to redeem hard circumstances. He is able to bring light to darkness. He is able to provide where there is lack. He is able to satisfy our deepest longings. He is able to bring life from death.
All things are possible with the Lord.
Scripture is full of God’s promises and although man makes it harder and harder for God to fulfill it, God always comes through.
That is not to say that living life as a Christian is a walk in the park. Far from it. Jesus Himself suffered and He tells us to expect suffering in our lives as well. We live in a broken world where the promise of God is still unfolding. We live in the tension of the “already, but not yet,” where we still look forward to the day when death will be no more and everything sad will become untrue.
For now, as we patiently wait for His glorious coming, we can trust in His promises no matter how impossible or far fetched they may be. Our God is able. He has been faithful and He will continue to be faithful until the end.
“Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful. And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.” (Hebrews 10:23-25)
Love,
Patsy
